Refund & Cancellation Policy

Version 2026-10-22

This policy describes refunds and cancellations for Paid Events on Unmapped. Free Events involve no payment. Your contract for an Event is with its Organizer (Ticket & Event Purchase Terms).

1. Before you buy

Each Paid Event shows one of two refund policies before payment:

PolicyWhat it means
Refundable until 48 hours before the EventYou can cancel your ticket until 48 hours before the Event's start time and receive the ticket price minus the card processing fee Stripe actually charged for your payment.
Non-refundableYou cannot cancel your ticket for a refund yourself.

There is no 14-day right of withdrawal for tickets to dated leisure Events (Ticket & Event Purchase Terms, section 5).

2. Cancelling your ticket

  • Members: cancel from the Event page, in the app or on the web.
  • Guests: cancel on the ticket page linked in your ticket email.
  • This is possible while the Event's policy allows it (until 48 hours before the start).
  • Amount: the ticket price minus the actual Stripe processing fee of your payment.
  • Your ticket becomes invalid once the refund starts.

3. Refunds granted by the Organizer or Unmapped

The Organizer — or Unmapped, for example in a dispute — may refund a ticket voluntarily, also a non-refundable ticket or after the 48-hour limit. The amount rule in section 2 applies.

4. If the Organizer cancels the Event

  • You receive a full refund of the ticket price, whatever the Event's refund policy.
  • The refund starts automatically. You are told by email (all buyers, including Guests) and, if you have an account, in the app.
  • Your ticket becomes invalid.

5. Date, time or venue changes

Once tickets have been sold, the Platform does not allow the Organizer to change the Event's date, time or venue. If they must change, the Organizer has to cancel the Event, and you receive a full refund (section 4). For other changes, contact the Organizer; your rights under the law that applies to your contract with them are not affected.

7. How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the original card through Stripe. When they appear depends on your bank (usually several business days).

8. Fees

Unmapped charges the Organizer a platform fee of 5% of the ticket price; buyers pay no extra fee. On every refund, Unmapped's fee is returned to the Organizer. Stripe's processing fee is deducted from your refund when you cancel or a voluntary refund is granted, and is borne by the Organizer when the Organizer cancels the Event.

9. External booking

For Events booked on an external website, that provider's terms and refund rules apply. Unmapped cannot issue refunds for them.

10. Questions

Contact the Organizer through the Event, or us at unmapped.co@gmail.com about the platform or a refund it processed. Complaints and consumer dispute resolution: Terms of Service, section 13.
