Organizer Terms
Version 2026-10-22
These Organizer Terms apply in addition to the Terms of Service when you create, publish or host an Event on Unmapped ("you", the "Organizer") — in particular when you sell tickets (Paid Event) or accept registrations from people without an Unmapped account (Guests). You accept them when you sell tickets for the first time, start your payout setup, or allow guest registration for an Event; we record the version, time and platform.
1. Your status
1.1 Seller status. Before you can set up payouts or sell tickets, you declare whether you act as a business — giving your business's legal name and address, and your registration number and VAT ID where you have them — or as a private individual. Unmapped does not determine this. Keep your declaration accurate and change it if your situation changes; a false declaration is a breach of these terms.
1.2 Buyers see your declared status — and, if you sell as a business, these details — before they pay, and each order keeps the information that applied when it was placed. If you sell as a business, you are responsible for complying with consumer-protection law towards buyers.
1.3 You are the provider of your Event. You are the other party to every registration and ticket contract for your Event. Unmapped (WaveOrigin OÜ) provides the platform only and is not a co-organizer, agent for the Event or seller.
2. Your responsibilities for the Event
As far as the law permits, you alone are responsible for — and confirm that you comply with the law regarding:
- Legality — the Event and its content are lawful where it takes place.
- Accurate listing — Event information that is true, complete and not misleading: date, time, venue, price, what is included, requirements (age, fitness, equipment) and your identity; prompt correction of errors.
- Safety — assessing and managing the risks of your Event, including proportionate safety, crowd and capacity management, first aid and emergency arrangements.
- Venue — the right to use the venue and compliance with its rules.
- Permits and licences — every permit, licence, notification or registration that is required (for example for public events, alcohol, music, food, guided activities or transport).
- Insurance — any insurance required by law, by the venue or by the nature of the Event (for example public liability insurance). Unmapped does not provide insurance for Events.
- Delivering the Event as described, and honouring valid tickets and registrations.
- Attendees — fair, non-discriminatory treatment and proportionate entry decisions.
- Consumer law — where you sell as a business, your obligations to attendees as consumers.
- Taxes and VAT — declaring and paying all taxes on your ticket income, including VAT where applicable, and pricing accordingly.
- Invoices and receipts for your ticket sales, where the law requires them. Stripe's payment receipts are not tax invoices.
- Refunds and cancellations — honouring your refund policy and section 5.
- Intellectual property and content — the rights to every name, image, logo, piece of music or other content you use or provide.
- Attendee personal data — section 7.
- Prohibited Events — section 3.
- Chargebacks and disputes — section 6.
3. Prohibited Events and listings
You must not list Events that are illegal; involve weapons, illegal drugs, sexual services or exploitation; target or admit minors where this is not allowed; are discriminatory, extremist or hateful; are pyramid schemes, scams or misleading; require attendees to pay outside the platform in a way that circumvents the listed price; or mainly serve to collect personal data.
4. Paid Events, Stripe and fees
4.1 Stripe. Payment processing services for Organizers on Unmapped are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the "Stripe Services Agreement"). By agreeing to these Organizer Terms or continuing to operate as an Organizer selling tickets on Unmapped, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of Unmapped enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide Unmapped accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorize Unmapped to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.
4.2 You are the seller. Ticket payments are charged by Stripe Checkout directly to your own Stripe account. Unmapped does not receive, hold or forward ticket money.
4.3 Platform fee: 5% of the gross ticket price of each ticket sold, collected by Stripe from the payment as an application fee for Unmapped. Buyers pay exactly your ticket price; Unmapped adds nothing for them.
4.4 Stripe's processing fees are charged by Stripe to your account and borne by you.
4.5 Payouts are made by Stripe to your bank account under your Stripe settings and Stripe's terms. Unmapped does not guarantee payout timing. You can sell tickets only while your Stripe account is ready for payments and payouts; your payout country cannot be changed once your Stripe account exists.
4.6 Receipts for the platform fee. For every paid ticket you receive a receipt for Unmapped's platform fee, and a credit receipt when the fee is returned on a refund, in the Unmapped web app (your Event's Tickets & payments section → Platform-fee receipts). WaveOrigin OÜ is currently not registered for VAT and charges no VAT on the fee.
5. Refunds, cancellations and changes
5.1 Your refund policy. Before sales you choose "Refundable until 48 hours before the Event" or "Non-refundable". The policy shown to a buyer applies to their ticket.
5.2 Attendee refunds — when an attendee cancels within the refund window, or when you (or Unmapped, for example in a dispute) grant a refund voluntarily, including on a non-refundable ticket: the attendee receives the ticket price minus the actual Stripe processing fee of that payment, and Unmapped's 5% fee is returned to you.
5.3 Cancelling your Event: every paid attendee automatically receives a full refund, Unmapped's 5% fee is returned, and you bear the Stripe processing fees that Stripe does not return. Buyers are notified by email, and Members also in the app. A Paid Event with sold tickets can only be ended by cancelling it with refunds.
5.4 No date, time or venue changes after sales. Once tickets have been sold, the platform blocks changes to the Event's date, time and venue; if they must change, cancel the Event (5.3). Other significant changes after sales may give attendees rights against you under the applicable law.
5.5 Funds for refunds. Refunds are debited from your Stripe balance; keep sufficient funds available. Negative balances are owed to Stripe under the Stripe Services Agreement and may be recovered from you by Stripe.
6. Disputes and chargebacks
6.1 Card disputes (chargebacks) are handled by Stripe against your Stripe account. You are responsible for responding with evidence, and for the disputed amount and any dispute fees Stripe charges if the dispute is lost.
6.2 Unmapped's platform fee for a ticket is not automatically returned when a dispute is lost. If you believe it should be returned in a particular case, contact us.
6.3 You must cooperate with reasonable requests from Unmapped or Stripe to investigate complaints, fraud or disputes.
7. Attendee personal data
7.1 Through the platform you receive attendees' personal data: names (Members: profile name and username); for Guests their email address and — where your form asks for it — mobile number; answers to your guest registration questions; registration, payment, ticket and check-in status; and for paid Guest orders the email address the ticket was sent to. For your own use of that data you are an independent controller under the GDPR and responsible for complying with it.
7.2 Use attendee data only to run the Event and meet your obligations to attendees; keep it secure and confidential; do not sell it or use it for unrelated marketing without a valid legal basis; and delete it when you no longer need it. Do not ask guest registration questions that collect special categories of data (for example health, religion or political views) unless strictly necessary and lawful.
7.3 Tell us without undue delay at unmapped.network@gmail.com about any security incident affecting attendee data you received through Unmapped.
8. Check-in and tickets
Check in only valid tickets through the platform's check-in (QR scan or ticket code; Paid Events). Check-in is available to the Event's creator and to Unmapped administrators. Do not accept tickets you know to be refunded, cancelled or void, and refuse entry only for proportionate reasons (Ticket & Event Purchase Terms, section 7.4).
9. Our rights
Acting proportionately and giving reasons where the law requires, we may: decline, remove or hide listings; pause or stop ticket sales; require information or verification, including — for specific higher-risk Events — evidence of insurance, permits or licences; grant refunds to attendees (section 5.2); cancel an Event and trigger full refunds where it is illegal, fraudulent, materially misrepresented or unsafe, or where you are unreachable or unable to perform; suspend Organizer features; and cooperate with authorities. Where we cancel an Event because of your breach, section 5.3 applies as if you had cancelled it.
10. Indemnity and your liability
10.1 Business Organizers indemnify and hold harmless WaveOrigin OÜ, its directors, employees and contractors against third-party claims, fines, penalties, losses, costs and reasonable legal fees arising from (a) their Event, including injuries, damage or loss suffered by attendees or third parties, (b) their breach of these Organizer Terms or the law, (c) their Event information, content or intellectual property, (d) taxes on their ticket income, (e) their processing of attendee personal data, and (f) refunds, chargebacks or negative balances relating to their Event — except to the extent the claim is caused by Unmapped's own intent, gross negligence or breach of its obligations. We will tell you promptly about such a claim and let you take part in its defence.
10.2 Private individuals do not give the indemnity in 10.1. You are liable to WaveOrigin OÜ under the applicable law for damage you cause by breaching these Organizer Terms or the law in connection with your Event, including claims that attendees or authorities bring against WaveOrigin OÜ because of your Event.
11. Unmapped's liability to Organizers
Section 10 of the Terms of Service applies. For business Organizers, this includes the limitation in section 10.4 of the Terms of Service — the greater of EUR 250 and the platform fees paid in the preceding 12 months — for example for lost ticket revenue caused by our slight negligence, payment-provider outages or a temporary suspension of sales, without affecting liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Private individuals
If you act as a private individual, mandatory consumer-protection rules in your relationship with Unmapped apply and prevail over these terms where they protect you more. Your attendees are told that their contract is with a private individual.
13. Term and termination
You may stop organizing at any time; tickets already sold must be honoured or the Event cancelled with refunds (section 5.3). These terms continue to apply as long as obligations to attendees, Stripe or Unmapped remain open.
